Thanks for stopping by!

One of the very first questions my son asked that truly stumped me (the first of many many more) was “Mumma, what does a giraffe say?”  Hmmm….still to this day I am not too sure.  This question makes me laugh every time I think of it. Hence the name of this blog!

I’m Kelly and this blog is the record and outlet for the constant monologue happening between my ears!  It's about life, parenting, travels, experiences, things I am passionate about and at times ramblings and rantings!  I love to hear other people's thoughts, respectful opinions and personal experiences.

I am 30 something and currently live Alexandria, Virginia (near Washington DC, USA) but I am a Melbourne, Australia girl.  I am a wife to my high school sweetheart and soul mate, Mr Jones and a mum to two gorgeous little boys – Austin (referred to in this blog as Master 3 and 4) and Lewis (referred to in this blog as Master 1).

Mr Jones and I have been together since we were 17 and have been married for over 10 years.  He is the love of my life, my best friend and my rock.  Sometimes I am amazed he can put up with me! He is ambitious, smart, considerate and a whole lot of gorgeous and is an amazing Daddy. Oh and he can fix stuff!

My greatest achievement so far is my two little boys.  To use the cliché – becoming a Mum changed my life.  I find motherhood rewarding, overwhelming, beautiful, hard work, inspiring, challenging, amazing and intense.

Master 4 is a little can of chatterbox, he is sensitive and imaginative, inquisitive and firey and that little dimple of his I could just eat up every time he smiles at me.  Master 1 is a happy little boy, very determined, funny and cheeky and those blue eyes make me want to cover him in kisses at every opportunity.

I am currently a stay at home mum and have had a few major career changes.  From my start as a graduate in corporate marketing - banking and finance, to membership marketing - health and fitness, to owning my own health club business, to where I am now.  Don’t know whether it is my short attention span or an inbuilt desire to just “have a go” at everything.  I am constantly striving to do what I am passionate, keep busy and stay challenged.

Thanks again for taking the time to have a squiz, hope to hear from you soon.

Kelly
